Site Homepage — Layout

The Layout page is where you build the public website that visitors see before they apply, and where shoppers return to discover the current event. Think of it as arranging the front page of your event: you choose the sections, write the words, add the images, and decide the order in which everything appears.

The safe way to make a change

  1. Open Site Homepage → Layout.
  2. Select a block in the Homepage canvas or add one from the section palette.
  3. Edit its text, images, visibility, or order in the Inspector.
  4. Use Preview to see the public arrangement before visitors see it.
  5. Choose Save draft while you are still working. Choose Publish homepage only when the page is ready.

Saving protects your work without changing the live page. Publishing makes the saved arrangement visible on the public site. If you remove every visible block, EventSale will not allow an empty homepage to be published.

Blocks available on the homepage

You can drag blocks into the canvas, move them up or down, duplicate a block, hide it temporarily, or remove it. The order shown in the canvas is the order shown to visitors.

The header is the navigation bar. It can show links to Home, current rounds, previous rounds, the public Team page, the application page, and creator login. You can change the wording of these links so they match the language of your event. Hide a link when you do not want to advertise that destination yet; hiding the link does not delete the destination or its data.

Tenant portal

This is the main introduction at the top of the page. Configure the Eyebrow, Title, and Description to explain what the event is about. The two action buttons can lead to destinations such as the current rounds, the application page, or creator login. Edit both the button label and its destination together so visitors are never sent somewhere unexpected.

The hero can also contain up to five rotating banners. Upload the images in the Hero media area and set Autoplay interval from 1 to 30 seconds. Use clear, readable artwork; the public media area is square and adapts the image automatically.

Partners ticker

Use this moving strip for partner, sponsor, or organizer names and logos. Add each partner, upload its logo, and arrange the entries in the order you prefer. It is useful for giving credit without taking a large amount of vertical space on the page. Remove an old partner when the relationship ends so the public page stays current.

The Photo gallery is for general event atmosphere: venue photographs, previews, or a visual introduction. Upload one or more photos, give the section a useful heading and description, and reorder or remove images as needed. This is separate from the round gallery, which contains creator products and is managed from Galleries.

FAQ

Add the questions visitors ask before applying or shopping. Each entry has a question and an answer, and can be moved up or down. Explain practical matters such as application dates, fees, creator requirements, or where to find the event. Keep answers short enough to scan, but complete enough that a new visitor does not need to contact the team for basic information.

This block presents older rounds as editorial cards. It helps visitors understand the history of the event and discover previous releases. Choose the heading and description, then keep only the rounds you want to feature. Archived rounds remain stored even when they are not displayed here.

This block displays the products from the current published gallery. Use it when the homepage should lead directly into the current release. The products come from the round gallery; you do not upload or review creator submissions from this block. If the current gallery is not ready, hide this section until there is something meaningful for visitors to see.

Visibility and publishing checklist

Before publishing, open the preview and check:

  • the title explains the event without internal jargon;
  • every button opens the intended public destination;
  • banners and partner logos are readable on a phone;
  • hidden blocks are intentionally hidden, rather than accidentally empty;
  • the current gallery and previous-round cards show the right release; and
  • the FAQ does not contain old dates or fees.

If you need to start over, Restore defaults returns the layout to the EventSale starting arrangement. Review it before publishing; restoring defaults changes the draft, not the live page, until you publish it.
