Marketing — Senders

Senders are the in-world EventSale objects that deliver marketing messages or inventory to Second Life avatars. The Senders page shows which objects are registered, which region they belong to, and whether they are healthy enough to participate in delivery.

What a healthy sender means

A sender must be registered, active, and recently reachable. Its region matters because EventSale uses active regions to estimate how quickly a campaign can reach its audience. A sender can be present in the list but still be unavailable for launch if its heartbeat is old or the required catalog item is not available there.

Use the sender controls to enable or pause a sender, inspect its status, and remove an object that no longer belongs to the event. Pause a sender when it is being moved or restarted. Remove it only when it has been permanently retired.

Before launching a campaign

Make sure at least one sender is active and online, its region is known, and the catalog item you intend to deliver is present where required. If no healthy region is available, a campaign may be saved as a draft but launch will remain blocked until delivery capacity is ready.

Senders are infrastructure for delivery; they are not audience segments and they do not decide who receives a message. Choose the audience in the campaign wizard.
