Categories
The Categories tab controls the category list shown to creators when they apply to the event and when they prepare a submission for a round.

Category limits
Minimum categories per submission
This is the minimum number of categories a creator must select for a round submission. A submission cannot be saved or sent if it has fewer categories than this number.
Maximum categories per submission
This is the maximum number of categories a creator can select for a round submission. Use it to keep classifications focused and prevent creators from selecting every available category.
The minimum cannot be greater than the maximum, and the maximum cannot be greater than the number of available category options.
Allowed submission categories
The category list contains the exact options creators see. The order is preserved in the creator portal and should follow the order that makes sense for your event.
Move a category up or down
Use the up and down arrow buttons to move one category at a time. The new order is used in the application and submission screens.
Drag to reorder
Use the grip handle to drag a category to another position. This is useful when rearranging a long list.
Remove a category
Use the remove button beside a category to take it out of the available list. Removing a category prevents it from being selected in new applications and submissions. Review active rounds before removing a category that creators may already be using.
Add category
Enter the new wording in Add category and select Add category. Use the spelling and capitalization that should appear publicly in the creator portal.
Raw category values
Raw category values is an advanced editor. Enter one category per line. When saved, duplicate and empty values are normalized so the creator list remains clean.
Use the visual list for normal edits. Use the raw field when you need to replace or paste a larger list.
Saving categories
Category changes are saved with the main Save settings action in the Settings page header. After saving, open an application or creator submission preview to confirm the order and limits are correct.
