Install the Second Life objects

Open CaveTech - EventSale System in the event owner's inventory. “Rez” means drag an object from your inventory onto land. Use land where that avatar can create objects and run scripts.

What each item does

CaveTech - EventSale PaymentCollects designers' round fees, handles required refunds, and settles the configured CaveTech commission. No Transfer

CaveTech - SenderSends marketing messages and allowed inventory. Its included Worker is managed automatically. No Transfer
CaveTech - EventSale ActivatorActivates EventSale for the owning avatar's CaveTech account. No Modify, No Transfer

No Transfer means you cannot give that item to another avatar. It does not prevent the object from communicating with the dashboard. The event owner keeps ownership; inviting staff in the dashboard does not transfer the objects.

1. Place the Server

  1. Rez CaveTech - Server with the owner avatar.
  2. Leave it running on land with scripts enabled. Check its chat message for registration or connection errors.
  3. In Settings → Operations, check the Verification server status and last contact.
  4. Keep this object available while creators apply, recover passwords, or accept manager invitations.

This Server handles your event's creator accounts. The verification used to create the owner's central CaveTech account is a different service.

2. Place the payment terminal

  1. Rez CaveTech - EventSale Payment where designers will pay.
  2. Read and accept its request for permission to debit the owner's Linden dollar balance. The current package requests this once during setup. It is needed for refunds and commission transfers.
  3. Open Payments in the dashboard. Confirm that this object appears and is Active.
  4. Set the location under Settings → Operations → Payment land link, then Save settings.
  5. Confirm the actual round fee and payment window in Rounds before inviting anyone to pay.

For a controlled first check, use a different avatar with an approved designer profile. Touch the terminal, read the brand, round and amount, then pay that amount once. Verify the receipt in Payments and the commission in Billing. A test payment still transfers real L$.

If a payment has been accepted but a transfer is pending, keep the object and its stored data. Do not delete it, clear its data, or ask the designer to pay again. Follow payment troubleshooting.

3. Place the Sender when you need marketing

  1. Rez CaveTech - Sender and keep its included Worker inside its Contents.
  2. Allow the Sender to rez its Worker on that parcel. Allow scripts to run.
  3. Open Marketing → Senders and confirm a recent contact, the correct region, and an active state.
  4. For inventory campaigns, put the intended deliverable in the Sender's Contents with the permissions needed to copy and transfer it. Check that it appears in the synchronized catalog.

The Sender creates and removes Workers automatically. Do not rez the Worker yourself. If several Senders will deliver an item, use matching item names, types, and copies on those Senders. See Senders.

Names and package updates

You can rename an object when its Second Life permissions allow it. A display name is not its account identity. Changing a name does not change the owner or workspace. Keep the supplied scripts and the single included Worker intact; a second eligible Worker object inside the Sender can make worker selection ambiguous.

Do not copy scripts from old test packages, edit connection settings inside scripts, or reset working objects as a routine setup step. For an update, use CaveTech's instructions for that package and preserve payment data when any receipt remains unresolved.
