How much does it cost?

The CaveTech Rental System is available for L$5,500. This is an initial purchase fee, with a monthly subscription of L$1,500. This subscription ensures you receive frequent system updates.

Is there a demo version available?

No, there is no demo version available. However, you can review our comprehensive documentation to understand the system's features and functionality before purchasing.

Do I need technical skills to use the system?

No, the system is designed to be user-friendly and does not require technical skills or scripting knowledge. The setup process is guided, and our documentation covers all aspects of the system.

Can I use the system with multiple avatars or alts?

Each avatar must purchase a new system. In the future, we plan to introduce a manager feature that will allow you to provide a copy of the Landsign to your staff members.

Account Management

Can I have multiple landlord accounts?

Yes, you can create multiple landlord accounts, but each requires a separate purchase of the system. A better approach is to use a single account and add multiple properties to it.

Can I transfer my account to another avatar?

No, it is not possible to transfer your CaveTech account to another avatar.

What happens if I lose access to my account?

If you lose access to your account, you will lose access to the objects in-world (Second Life), but you will still maintain normal access to the admin panel.

How do I register for a CaveTech account?

To register:

  1. Wear the HUD Controller
  2. Click the Register button
  3. Follow the link provided in chat
  4. Complete the three-step registration form:
    • Verify your avatar name
    • Enter your email address
    • Create and confirm your password

If you forget your password:

  1. Click the Reset Password button on the HUD

How many properties can I manage with the system?

There is no limit to the number of properties you can manage with a single account. The system is designed to scale with your business.

Does the system work with mesh buildings?

Yes, the system works with any type of structure, including mesh buildings, skyboxes, and traditional prim builds.

Can I customize the rental terms?

Yes, you can customize rental periods, prices, access control, and many other aspects of the rental experience for each property individually.

Does the system support group access?

Yes, you can configure properties to grant access to the tenant's group members, with customizable options for different permission levels.

Can I set different rental rates for different time periods?

Yes, you can configure different rental rates for daily, weekly, monthly, or custom time periods for each property.

Is there a way to automatically notify tenants about expiring rentals?

Yes, the system automatically notifies tenants when there are 3 days remaining before expiration and continues to send notifications every 12 hours.

What analytics does the Dashboard provide?

The Dashboard includes:

  • Summary Cards: Key metrics like total properties, occupied properties, and income
  • Analytics Charts: Visual representations of your rental income over time
  • Recent Payments: List of the most recent transactions

Does the system work with multiple regions?

Yes, the system can manage properties across multiple regions, even if they are not adjacent.

What happens if the region restarts?

The system is designed to recover automatically after region restarts. All data is stored securely on our servers, so no information is lost during a region restart.

Is there a limit to how many tenants can use the system simultaneously?

No, the system is designed to handle multiple concurrent users without performance issues.

Rental Operations

Can I temporarily reserve a parcel for a specific tenant?

Yes, you can mark a parcel as "reserved" for a specific tenant, making it unavailable to others until the reservation is released or converted to a rental.

Can tenants extend their rental before it expires?

Yes, tenants can extend their rental before it expires by going to the payment terminal and making a payment there.

Payment & Transactions

What payment methods does the system support?

The system supports Linden Dollar (L$) payments through the Second Life payment system.

Does the system handle automatic renewals?

No, tenants need to go to the payment terminal and make the payment themselves.

How are transaction fees handled?

All transaction fees imposed by Second Life are handled automatically by the system. You receive the full rental amount specified in your settings.

Can I offer discounts or promotions?

Yes, you can configure discount rates for longer rental periods or special promotions by adjusting the price settings for individual properties.

Can I set up payment plans for tenants?

Yes, you can configure installment payment options, allowing tenants to pay in smaller increments over the rental period rather than one lump sum.
