Dashboard Overview

Learn how to navigate and use the HUD Web Creator dashboard to configure your Second Life HUDs.

Accessing the Dashboard

After setting up your HUD in Second Life (previous step), access the site (https://centralcave.com/) and log in (https://auth.centralcave.com/login).

When accessing the universal CaveTech dashboard, select the product HUD Web Creator and you will be redirected to the product dashboard.

You will see a list of your created HUDs with the following information:

  • HUD Name
  • HUD Status: Activated or Deactivated
  • Updated: Last update date
  • View Details: Opens HUD button configuration
  • HUD ID: Unique ID available inside the button configuration page

Dashboard Layout

📊 Statistics Overview

At the top of the dashboard, you'll see key statistics about your HUDs:

  • Total HUDs: Number of HUDs you've created
  • Active HUDs: HUDs updated in the last week
  • Recent Activity: HUDs with recent configuration changes

📋 HUD List

The main section displays all your HUDs with the following information:

  • HUD Name: Custom name (editable)
  • Creation Date: When the HUD was first created
  • Last Updated: Most recent activity
  • Status: Active or inactive indicator
  • Quick Actions: Edit, archive, or delete options

HUD Status Indicators

Understanding HUD status helps you manage your creations:

Active Status

  • HUD is connected: Successfully communicating with Second Life
  • Ready for configuration: Can receive button configurations
  • Recent activity: HUD has been used recently

Inactive Status

  • No recent activity: HUD hasn't been used recently
  • May need reconnection: Check Second Life scripts
  • Requires attention: Verify HUD setup in-world

Quick Actions Menu

Each HUD has a three-dot menu (⋮) providing quick actions:

✏️ Edit

  • Rename HUD: Change the display name
  • Configure Buttons: Set up button actions
  • View Details: Access full configuration

📦 Archive

  • Hide from main list: Move to archived section
  • Preserve configuration: All settings remain intact
  • Restore anytime: Easily unarchive when needed

🗑️ Delete

  • Permanent removal: Cannot be undone
  • Removes all configurations: All button setups are lost
  • Confirmation required: Double-check before deleting

Managing HUD Names

You can customize HUD names for better organization:

  1. Click the pencil icon next to the HUD name
  2. Edit the name: Enter a descriptive name
  3. Save changes: Press Enter or click the save button

💡 Tip: Use descriptive names like "Store Display HUD" or "Avatar Customizer" to easily identify your HUDs.
